June 20, 2016

FleishmanHillard Fishburn is proud to announce a new partnership with Career Ready, a U.K.-wide charity which seeks to improve access to the professional realm for 16-18 year old students from low income homes.

LONDON, June 20, 2016 — At FleishmanHillard Fishburn’s summer party, FleishmanHillard Fishburn CEO Jim Donaldson and Career Ready Chief Executive, Anne Spackman, (pictured below with Career Ready London Manager, Aimi Driver, and FleishmanHillard Fishburn/Career Ready partnership project lead, Max Kalu) announced the partnership together. Through the partnership FleishmanHillard Fishburn hopes to drive social inclusion in the PR sector, and will collaborate with Career Ready on a number of projects to welcome 16-18 year olds from lower income homes into the industry. FleishmanHillard Fishburn will be the communications partner for Career Ready’s annual headline event “A Capital Experience,” which brings 1700 Career Ready participants from across the UK together to celebrate the initiative. FHF staff will also to commit to individually mentoring students, along with hosting 10 introductory masterclasses at their Bankside office, and offering a number of summer internships to Career Ready students.

Jim Donaldson said of the partnership: “With the recent PR census, results from the PRCA are proving that there is still a lack of diversity in our industry. It’s more important than ever to help close the gap. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to get involved and continue to progress our broader vision to be the agency for change. Not only do we continue to help drive real change for our clients, we can and will drive change in our industry.”
